Bishop Mikael Urgently Needs Surgery, Says Garnik Danielyan
Bishop Mikael urgently needs surgery. This was stated by MP Garnik Danielyan in a conversation with reporters.
“This is a very sensitive issue that must be resolved as soon as possible. There should be an opportunity for the bishop to undergo surgery immediately under the supervision and participation of his doctor,” he emphasized.
It is reminded that a criminal case was initiated against Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan for public calls aimed at seizing power, violating territorial integrity, renouncing sovereignty, or violently overthrowing the constitutional order. He was detained on June 28.
On October 3, the judge of the first instance of the general jurisdiction court, Armine Meliksetyan, announced the verdict against Bishop Mikael, declaring him guilty and sentencing him to 2 years of imprisonment.
