Punishing Georgian Citizens Would Be a Strategic Mistake for the European Union, Says Foreign Minister
The cancellation of the visa-free regime could become a strategic mistake for the European Union. This statement was made by Georgia's Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, as reported by RIA Novosti.
"I still hope that the European Union will change its mind and will not punish the citizens of Georgia. However, considering the current European bureaucracy, it is very difficult to hope for rational decisions when we see so many irrational decisions. We are not the only ones saying this; many write that the EU foreign service has no intention of protecting European interests," said the Georgian Foreign Minister.
