We Raised the Issue of Neutralizing Various Provocative Factors with Hajiyev: Narek Minasyan
We are in an initial phase of the dialogue process, which is quite complex considering the 35-year conflict and its full emotional layers, and naturally, we are also well aware that the process is challenging. This was stated by Narek Minasyan, a representative of the Armenian delegation, during a press conference organized after returning from Baku, where he presented the topics discussed during the meetings.
Touching upon the current situation, Minasyan noted that they are indeed at the starting phase of the dialogue process, which is already quite complicated given the 35 years of conflict and its emotional layers. He emphasized that the difficulties of the process are known to both sides and are natural in such a situation.
According to Minasyan, the Azerbaijani side highlighted the idea of peace dividends, proposing practical steps so that both peoples can feel the positive outcomes of peace or established peace. He mentioned that negotiations are also ongoing regarding various practical programs in this direction.
At the same time, the Armenian side specifically raised the issue of neutralizing provocative factors during the meeting with Hajiyev. For example, the sometimes provocative or problematic rhetoric of certain Azerbaijani officials when discussing the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement process was pointed out.
