The Deadline Given to Ukraine on November 27 is Fluid: Marco Rubio
According to CNN, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the November 27 deadline set by President Donald Trump, during which Ukraine must accept the U.S. peace proposal, is flexible. Rubio noted that their desire is to conclude the process as soon as possible.
“Our desired deadline is to finish as soon as possible. Clearly, we would like it to be on Thursday. We have genuinely made progress, so I am very optimistic that we will reach it in a quite reasonable timeframe, very soon,” Rubio said in Geneva.
He indicated that the U.S. acknowledges that Ukraine should have security guarantees as part of the peace proposal but did not provide details on the discussions. “Whether it's Thursday, Friday, Wednesday, or next Monday, we want it to happen soon because people are dying,” Rubio emphasized.
