US to Impose New Sanctions if War Does Not Cease, Mike Waltz Says
The United States is prepared to implement additional sanctions against Russia and continue military aid to Ukraine. This was announced by the U.S. Permanent Representative, Mike Waltz, during a UN Security Council meeting regarding the situation in Ukraine.
Waltz stated that Washington is considering a series of new restrictive measures that could come into effect if Moscow does not halt its military operations. He emphasized that the U.S. intends to continue supporting Kyiv, including through the supply of military equipment.
During the meeting, the U.S. side reiterated that its policy is aimed at ensuring security in the region and will be contingent on developing events.
