Iran's President on Moving the Capital
The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, has announced that the need to move the capital from Tehran has matured in the country. This announcement was made during a meeting with representatives of society in Qazvin province, as reported by IRNA.
Pezeshkian stated that the authorities have no alternative since Tehran is facing serious issues in providing potable water. He pointed out that the continuous growth of the capital's population and limited water resources could create a risk of humanitarian crisis.
