Whitkopf Cancels Meeting with Zelensky in Turkey
The U.S. presidential special envoy, Steve Whitkopf, has postponed the meeting scheduled with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Turkey. Axios, citing American and Ukrainian sources, reported that the change is due to the preparatory process for possible negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
Previously, the Turkish side had confirmed its readiness to facilitate the resumption of dialogue in Istanbul. The Turkish presidential administration included the topic of the negotiation process in the agenda for Zelensky's visit. Meanwhile, the format and timeline for possible consultations have yet to be clarified.
