59 Drivers Penalized for Using Non-Compliant Amplifiers While Driving
From November 10-17, during a service conducted in the capital, the Yerevan police have identified 4,676 violations of road traffic rules, with 169 vehicles taken to designated areas. Specifically, 199 drivers were found to be under the influence, and 205 individuals were driving without a valid driver's license. Additionally, violations related to registration plates accounted for 21 cases, 627 for not wearing seat belts, 6 for driving without child seats, 491 for smoking while driving, 235 for using phones while driving, 111 for pedestrians crossing at non-designated areas, and 1,534 other infractions. 127 vehicles were operated without mandatory auto insurance, 179 without passing technical inspection, 146 with malfunctioning lights, and 67 with tinted windshields and side windows. 84 drivers received fines for using non-compliant amplifiers while driving.
Furthermore, 94 individuals were detained on various suspicions and taken to community police divisions, according to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During the same period in the regions, police identified 13,159 violations of traffic rules, with 306 vehicles taken to designated areas. 202 drivers were found to be under the influence, 395 were driving without a driver's license, and 12 were found with fake driver’s licenses. Other violations included 58 related to registration plates, 2,840 for not wearing seat belts, 163 for driving without child seats, 396 for smoking while driving, 544 for using phones while driving, 93 for pedestrians crossing at non-designated areas, 2,234 for speeding, and 3,479 other violations. 395 vehicles were operated without mandatory auto insurance, 869 without passing technical inspection, 818 with malfunctioning lights, including 38 trucks, and 170 with tinted windshields and side windows. Moreover, 59 drivers were penalized for using non-compliant amplifiers while driving. Additionally, 65 individuals were detained on various suspicions and taken to local police divisions.
