Putin Approves Temporary Procedure for Granting Citizenship to Foreign Nationals Involved in War
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree establishing a temporary procedure for granting Russian citizenship to foreign nationals who have participated in the special military operation. The relevant document has been published on the official portal of legal acts.
A regulation has also been approved for granting residence permits to certain categories of foreign nationals and stateless persons. Foreign nationals and stateless individuals aged 18 to 65 are now eligible to apply for Russian citizenship by presenting an excerpt of a decision regarding their exemption from military service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation or the Ministry of Emergency Situations' rescue units.
