Arsen Torosyan on Pension Increase
Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan stated that if pensions are increased to the point where fiscal instability arises, resulting in budgetary and tax-budgetary issues, then not only will pensioners live poorly, but everyone else will be affected as well. This narrative, according to Minister of Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan, is being manipulated in an opposite direction.
“It is being manipulated that if we raise pensions, pensioners will live poorly; that has never been the case. Rather, fiscal opportunities allow for an increase as much as possible,” said Arsen Torosyan, adding that this is a tool that will boost the collection of additional taxes.
