Kobakhidze Cancels Meeting with OSCE President Due to Participation in Rally
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has canceled a meeting with the President of the OSCE, scheduled for October 14, due to his presence at a rally held in Tbilisi.
"The decision was made based on the illegal nature of the rally and the participation of Elina Valtonen in spreading false statements," the Georgian government announced.
On the eve of the meeting, OSCE President Valtonen, who is also Finland's Foreign Minister, had met with protesters near the building of the Georgian Parliament in Tbilisi.
