Armenia National Team Loses 1-0 to Ireland

In the fourth game of the qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup, the Armenia national team lost 0-1 to the Ireland national team. The day before the match, the coaches of both teams highlighted the significance of the game for their squads, emphasizing that there would be "war" on the field.

In the 38th minute, our team executed a counterattack, concluded with a shot from Eduard Spertsyan, but he missed the target. This was the first real scoring opportunity of the match. The score remained unchanged until the halftime break.

After gaining a numerical advantage, the Irish team became more active, and had it not been for Henry Avagyan's brilliant performance, we could have conceded a goal immediately.
