Phones Seized from Mezhavan as Investigative Actions Take Place
The investigation body of the criminal case regarding the murder of Parakar's mayor Valodya Grigoryan has seized several phones from individuals in Mezhavan, and in this process, they are analyzing both phone conversations and checking the data available on the phones. This is reported by the "Zhoghovurd" newspaper.
"The phones have been confiscated, and active investigative actions are underway with them. Recall that on September 23, Valodya Grigoryan, the mayor of Parakar, and criminal police officer Karen Abrahamyan were killed in the yard of his private house. Two individuals, Narek Ohanyan and Gevorg Harutyunyan, have been arrested in connection with the murder. The law enforcement system considers the murder to be solved; however, the relatives of the deceased Valodya Grigoryan assert that there are masterminds behind it.
It is noteworthy that just 10 days before the murder, the former head of Mezhavan, Mher Aghtoyan, left the country. Moreover, the murderer Gevorg Harutyunyan personally took Mher Aghtoyan to the airport and said goodbye. Eight months ago, during the pre-election period before the mayoral elections in Parakar, there was a clash between the teams of Aghtoyan and Grigoryan in Mezhavan, resulting in the death of one person, Grigor Ohanyan, who was a member of Aghtoyan's team and a relative of his. In the elections, Aghtoyan's team, which was affiliated with the ruling party, lost, and Valodya Grigoryan emerged victorious, a fact that could not be forgiven. Valodya Grigoryan was murdered seven months later," the newspaper writes.
