Israel Must Stop Its Attacks: Erdogan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated today that it would be unjust and unrealistic to place the entire burden of achieving peace in Gaza solely on Hamas and the Palestinians. He emphasized that Israel must cease its attacks for peace efforts to be successful, as reported by Reuters.
In a speech before legislators from his party, Erdogan asserted that despite U.S. President Donald Trump's plan, Israel remains the primary obstacle to achieving peace in Gaza. He highlighted the ongoing ceasefire negotiations in Egypt, involving Turkish officials, as being of crucial importance.
“Peace is not a one-winged bird. It is neither fair nor realistic to place the entire burden of peace on Hamas and the Palestinians,” he stated, reiterating his claim that Hamas is a “resistance group.”
