FIFA Fines Armenian Football Federation Nearly $17,000
FIFA's official website has published a document detailing decisions made by FIFA's disciplinary committee in relation to the qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup. This was reported by ArmSport.am.
The Armenian Football Federation has been fined 13,000 Swiss francs (equivalent to $16,250) for violations that occurred during the matches in September.
During the match against the Portuguese national team, the following violations were recorded: team infractions, breaches of order and safety during the game, pitch invasion or attempted invasion, and the use of pyrotechnics or other objects.
In the game against the Irish national team, there were also breaches of order and safety regulations, as well as the use of fireworks or other objects.
Some of the decisions are subject to appeal.
