Government Approves Agreement on Securities Circulation in EAEU
During today's meeting of the Government of Armenia, the agreement on the "Cross-Border License for Securities Placement and Circulation in Organized Markets of the EAEU" was approved. The agreement was signed on January 31, 2025, in Almaty.
It is noted that the agreement was developed by the financial department of the EAEU and the regulators of the securities markets of the member states as a continuation of the "Broker-Dealer" pilot project.
The purpose of the agreement is to facilitate the placement and circulation of listed securities in member states of the EAEU, thereby creating new opportunities for issuers to attract investment resources.
Signing the agreement will enable Armenian resident investment service providers (brokers and dealers) to acquire “high-quality” securities listed and circulating on the exchanges of EAEU member states without leaving their own local exchanges and without incurring additional costs.
