Preliminary Results of Moldova's Parliamentary Elections Announced
On Sunday, according to the results of the parliamentary elections held in Moldova, the Action and Solidarity Party founded by President Maia Sandu is set to maintain a parliamentary majority following the distribution of mandates. This was confirmed by the preliminary data from the Central Electoral Commission after 99.12% of the votes were counted.
Sandu's party received 49.88% of the votes and is expected to secure 55 mandates in the 101-seat parliament. According to the preliminary data, the remaining mandates could be distributed as follows: the Patriotic Alliance - 26, the European-oriented Alternative party alliance - 8, Our Party - 6, and the Democracy at Home party - 6.
