Peskov Evaluates Prospects for Resuming Dialogue with Ukraine
Kiev has not signaled any intentions regarding the possible resumption of negotiations between Russian and Ukrainian delegations, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, told RIA Novosti.
“No, there has been no signal from Kiev so far,” he said in response to a question about the potential resumption of negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations.
It is worth recalling that on September 27, during his speech at the UN General Assembly, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Kiev and European countries are not showing any desire to negotiate for a just peace in Ukraine. According to the minister, the Russian Federation has repeatedly urged NATO countries to “honor their obligations and come to an agreement on legally binding security guarantees.” He emphasized that Russia's proposals have been “ignored and continue to be ignored.”
