Most Crimes Registered in Armavir, According to NSS

In 2024, the highest number of crimes was registered in Yerevan, followed by the Armavir province. This information was published by the National Statistical Committee.

According to the statistics, a total of 3,464 crimes were recorded in Armavir last year, including 457 serious and 88 particularly serious offenses. During the same period, 2,696 crimes were registered in Ararat, 2,802 in Shirak, and 2,821 in Lori. In Kotayk province, there were 3,310 cases reported, but compared to Armavir, the number of particularly serious crimes here was only 35.

The city of Vagharshapat in Armavir province recorded the highest number of incidents at 2,094, with 78 being particularly serious. Notably, after Yerevan, Vagharshapat had the largest number of cases among Armenian cities.

Last year, Vagharshapat reported more incidents than the entire Syunik province, which saw 1,649 recorded crimes. In Yerevan, 18,397 cases were registered, including 1,165 particularly serious offenses.
