The United States Stands by Armenia, Says U.S. Secretary of State
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has sent a congratulatory message to the people of Armenia on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of independence, stating: “On behalf of the United States of America, I congratulate the people of Armenia on the 34th anniversary of independence. The United States stands alongside Armenia as our valued partner as we work together towards our common goals of ensuring peace, prosperity, and stability in the South Caucasus.
Our steady and strong relationship is built on powerful cultural ties, shared principles, and mutual aspirations to enhance regional security and economic opportunities. The significant summit hosted by President Trump between Armenia and Azerbaijan, along with the U.S. announcement of $145 million in support for the implementation of the ‘Trump Road to International Peace and Prosperity’ (TRIPP) program, underscores our unwavering commitment to Armenia and highlights our joint efforts to promote regional connectivity, economic investment, and security cooperation.
We are pleased to support Armenia in enhancing energy security, expanding trade, and strengthening border protection while reaffirming our commitment to Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The strategic partnership and bilateral agreements signed by President Trump and Prime Minister Pashinyan serve as the pillars of our cooperation aimed at advancing these shared objectives.
As Armenia continues to shape its future as a crossroads of peace and development, the United States reaffirms its dedication to a vision of a more connected, stable, and prosperous region,” the message reads.
