Powerful Earthquake in Russia
An earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale has been recorded off the eastern coast of Kamchatka. This information has been reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, as conveyed by TASS.
The epicenter of the tremors was located 125 km northeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, at a depth of 40 km.
Additionally, the governor of the Kamchatka region, Vladimir Solodov, has announced a tsunami threat for the eastern coast of Kamchatka. “A tsunami warning has been issued for the eastern coast of the peninsula. The public is being informed,” Solodov wrote.
He added that all services have been put on high alert. Currently, there are no reports of damages.
