It's Not Time Yet to Ask Putin for a Ceasefire on Ukraine, Trump Says
U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that it is still too early to approach Russian President Vladimir Putin about establishing a ceasefire in Ukraine. This was reported by Bloomberg.
While returning to the U.S. from Great Britain, reporters on Air Force One asked Trump if it was time to request Putin for a ceasefire again.
“I don’t think it’s time right now. But at the right time, if I have to do it, it will be very strict,” Trump said.
Addressing his assertion that European countries should not buy oil from Russia, Trump noted that Great Britain is not among those buying Russian energy resources, and Prime Minister Keir Starmer agrees that allies “should stop buying oil from Russia.”
