The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has opened a criminal case, during which preliminary evidence has been gathered indicating that a husband, while under the influence, poured gasoline on his wife. Gasoline was also spilled on a tablecloth, which he then set on fire, resulting in the flames transferring to the woman.
As a result of these actions, the wife sustained burns, and their daughter, who rushed to help, also suffered injuries.
A public criminal prosecution has been initiated against the husband under point 9 of part 2 of Article 155 of the Criminal Code (attempted murder). He has been remanded in custody as a preventive measure.
