They Cannot Make Any Decisions on Ukraine Without Us: Zelensky
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will not be able to make any decisions regarding Ukraine during their meeting in Alaska. Zelensky emphasized that discussions between Trump and Putin are important in any case. However, he noted that it is impossible to talk about Ukraine without Ukraine itself, and no one will accept such a format.
“Therefore, the conversation between the U.S. President and Putin can undoubtedly be important for their bilateral path. But they cannot make any decisions on Ukraine without us,” Zelensky added.
The Ukrainian President expressed hope that Trump understands this principle. “We will defend our truth and do everything to end this war. And there are things that are in your heart, there are things that are in your Constitution,” he said.
The meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin is scheduled for Friday, August 15, in Alaska.
