Putin on Important Steps in Armenian-Azerbaijani Relations
Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a phone call about the outcomes of his conversation with US President's special envoy Stephen Biegun, as well as preparations for a meeting with US leader Donald Trump in Alaska. This was reported by the Kremlin.
It was noted that the Prime Minister of Armenia welcomed the steps aimed at peacefully resolving the Ukrainian crisis.
The Russian President also highlighted the importance of actions that contribute to ensuring stable peace between Yerevan and Baku and expressed Moscow's readiness to assist in this process. “Russia's readiness has been confirmed to contribute to the comprehensive settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations in accordance with the well-known trilateral agreements of the highest level from 2020-2022, including unblocking transport communications in the region,” the statement said.
