Former Israeli Military and Intelligence Leaders Send Letter to Trump
Former leaders of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Mossad, and Shin Bet have sent a letter to Donald Trump, urging him to pressure Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to halt the ongoing war in Gaza. This has been reported by the Jerusalem Post.
The letter has been signed by over 600 former senior officials from Israeli security agencies. Among the signatories are former IDF Deputy Chief of Staff Maatan Vilnai, former Shin Bet head Ami Ayalon, and former Mossad director Tamir Pardo.
The group has formed the 'Israeli Security Managers' coalition (ISMC). They stated that the two objectives of the military operation that needed to be resolved through force have already been achieved, while the third one, the release of hostages from Gaza, can only be addressed through diplomatic means.
