A New Strong Eruption Occurs on the Sun
On the morning of August 4 at 08:57 Yerevan time, an M2.1 class eruption was recorded on the Sun in active region 4168, as reported by the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Institute of Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Siberian Physical and Technical Scientific Center. This eruption is the second in recent days; the day before, an M2.9 eruption had occurred in the same area.
Despite the eruptions being directed towards Earth, scientists note that there is currently no recorded impact on the magnetic field or the operation of space equipment. Solar eruptions are classified by their intensity, ranging from classes A to X, with the M class considered strong. They can be accompanied by plasma ejections and may result in magnetic storms.
At this time, the recent increase in solar activity has no impact on Earth; however, experts continue to monitor the developments closely.
