Inspectors to Patrol with 'Armed' Equipment: Suren Grigoryan
For the second consecutive day, inspectors are conducting checks in transportation. Citizens who demonstrated irresponsible behavior will now be required to exhibit responsible conduct. This was announced at a press conference by Yerevan's Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan.
"Inspectors will be patrolling. We can say that the work is within international standards. They are equipped with appropriate tools that allow them to verify whether a citizen has made a payment or not. Our goal is not to resolve the issue of collecting money through fines; we want citizens to pay the required fare," Grigoryan stated, noting that the heaviest fine is applied in cases of traveling with another citizen's preferential card.
He also mentioned that until now, no fines have been issued, as awareness-raising activities are currently being carried out.
