Lavrov on Rubio's Statement Regarding Possible War Between the US and Russia

The US administration is aware of the current realities and is striving to take into account the root causes of the crisis in Ukraine. This was stated by Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Lavrov noted that if European countries are 'hysterically demanding to draw Ukraine into NATO and prepare for war with Russia,' then US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has recently stated that direct military confrontation between Washington and Moscow must never be allowed.

'We fully agree with that. And this is also a result of the mutual understanding reached during Russian-American dialogues,' Lavrov emphasized.
