Russia plans to impose fines for cryptocurrency payments, local media report. It has been noted that starting from 2026, Russians may begin to face penalties for making transactions using cryptocurrency. A draft law is already being prepared, as announced by Anatoly Aksakov, head of the State Duma's Financial Market Committee. According to him, cryptocurrency is currently in a 'gray zone', and the fines will help restore order.
