Criminal Case Launched Against Son of Azerbaijani Diaspora Leader in Yekaterinburg
A criminal case has been initiated against Mutvala Shikhlinski, the son of the Azerbaijani diaspora leader, in Yekaterinburg. This information was provided to RIA Novosti by Igor Putiltsev, the president of the Sverdlovsk Regional Bar Association.
Previously, it was reported that Shikhlinski holds the status of a lawyer and is a member of the Sverdlovsk Regional Bar Association. Putiltsev did not specify under what article charges could be brought against Shikhlinski.
On July 1, Mash reported that the son of the Azerbaijani diaspora leader nearly ran over an operative while attempting to escape pursuit. He was driving his father near Baku Plaza when law enforcement attempted to arrest them. Shikhlinski Junior tried to flee from the FSB officers, reversing his vehicle and hitting one of them with an open door, damaging another vehicle in the process.
