Russian Foreign Ministry on Developments in Armenia
Moscow is closely monitoring the developments in Armenia, including the events surrounding the Armenian Apostolic Church and its spiritual center in Echmiadzin, stated the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“We do not have a habit of intervening in the internal affairs of other states. We are sincerely interested in maintaining stability, ensuring legality, and promoting sustainable development in our friendly and brotherly Armenia. To achieve this, it is necessary to practically apply democratic values, respect for the feelings of believers, and adherence to the principles of religious freedom proclaimed by the Armenian leadership,” the statement reads.
