Large Number of People Injured in Turkey During Animal Slaughter
On the first day of the Kurban Bayram holiday in Turkey, more than 14,000 people sought medical assistance due to injuries sustained during the unsuccessful slaughter of animals. This was reported by the country's Minister of Health, Kemal Memişoğlu.
“On the first day of the holiday, 14,372 people received treatment in hospitals due to injuries from the sacrifices, including 1,049 in Ankara, 753 in Istanbul, and 655 in Konya,” the minister wrote on social media platform X.
He emphasized that to avoid such incidents, animals should be slaughtered by professionals.
