Pashinyan and Sinirlioğlu Hope for Early Signing of Peace Agreement
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Helga Schmid, who is in Armenia as part of a regional visit.
The Prime Minister welcomed the visit of the OSCE Secretary General and noted that it was a good opportunity to discuss the agenda of bilateral cooperation. Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the importance of active dialogue with the OSCE and expressed hope for effective cooperation.
Helga Schmid stated that the South Caucasus region holds strategic significance for the OSCE, and the organization will continue to support the advancement of the peace agenda. The Secretary General welcomed the efforts being made in this direction to ensure regional peace and stability.
In this context, the interlocutors expressed hope for the earliest possible signing of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Prime Minister Pashinyan addressed Armenia's positions in the process of signing the peace agreement, emphasizing that the peace agenda is a priority for the Government of Armenia.
For his part, Helga Schmid mentioned that there are great opportunities to achieve peace in the region, and these must be utilized. Both sides exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
