Azerbaijan and Turkey Will Work Together in Defense Sector: Turkish Defense Minister
The creation of a unified army between Azerbaijan and Turkey is an ongoing process. According to the Azerbaijani APA news agency, this was stated by Hulusi Akar, the chairman of the National Defense Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and former Minister of Defense, during a session of the Turkish Parliament.
“As the president of Azerbaijan has said, we are not just one nation and two states; we are one nation and three states. We are one nation and one army. The process of creating a unified army is currently ongoing. Azerbaijan and Turkey need to work together in the defense sector. The prerequisite for this is joint military exercises,” Akar stated.
