Russia: We Are Not Obligated to Assist Iran in Case of US Attack
Russia is not obligated to assist Iran in the event of an attack by the United States. This was announced by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko.
“A possible US attack on Iran poses the most impoverishing consequences for the region,” he stated. He emphasized that if such an attack were to occur, Moscow would not be required to provide military assistance to Tehran under the strategic partnership agreement with Iran, but would take all measures to resolve the conflict.
