Earthquake in Azerbaijan
On April 8, 2025, at 00:35 local time (20:35 UTC on April 7), the seismic network of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations registered an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 at geographic coordinates of 40.13° North latitude and 46.56° East longitude, in the Republic of Azerbaijan, at a depth of 10 km. The intensity of the under-ground shock in the epicentral area was recorded at 4-5 on the Richter scale.
The earthquake was felt in the town of Vardenis in the Gegharkunik Province, as well as in the villages of Sotk and Kut, with an intensity of 2-3.
