Germany Wants to Withdraw 1200 Tons of Gold from the US
Germany wants to withdraw 1200 tons of its gold, valued at 113 billion euros, from the United States due to tariffs imposed by President Trump. This was reported by Politico.
“The government is shocked by Trump’s unpredictable policies and no longer considers America a reliable partner. Germany holds the second-largest gold reserves in the world, with 37% of those reserves stored in the US as a safeguard, enabling the country to exchange gold for dollars or any other solid currency if necessary,” the publication noted.
