Russian-American Negotiations Are Set to Take Place: CNN

Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and a representative of the inner circle of the Russian president, is set to visit Washington this week to hold talks with U.S. Special Envoy Stephen Wittkof. This was reported by CNN, citing American diplomatic sources.

According to American media, the State Department recently lifted sanctions imposed on Dmitriev to allow him to obtain a visa for entry into the U.S. The discussions between Dmitriev and Wittkof will mark the first direct communications between Moscow and Washington since 2022.
