Red Cross Committee Concerned About Fate of 9 Emergency Workers Missing in Gaza
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) announced on Saturday that it is deeply concerned about the fate of nine members of the Palestinian Red Crescent emergency team, who have been missing in Gaza for seven days, according to Reuters.
The organization stated that it had lost contact with the staff after they came under heavy fire during an operation in Rafah early on March 23.
According to the United Nations, at least 1,060 healthcare workers have been killed over the past 18 months since Israel launched its assault on the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
