There is a Risk of Escalation in the Region: Araqchi
Iran supports the conclusion of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and we hope that a final decision will be made by both countries as soon as possible for the signing of this agreement. This was stated by Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi during a press conference in Yerevan alongside Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
“We believe that this agreement is very important for peace and stability in the Caucasus, as well as for the development of economic relations, and we hope that these issues will be resolved soon. The risk of escalation exists in the region, and we hope that alongside the signing of this peace agreement, these risks will be minimized, and we will witness stability in the region, which is in the interest of all,” said Iran's Foreign Minister.
