Ukraine Receives £752 Million from Britain, Funded by Frozen Russian Assets
Ukraine has received its first £752 million ($970 million) from the United Kingdom, which is derived from revenues generated by frozen Russian assets. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
Vyacheslav Volodin, the speaker of the State Duma, referred to this as a gross violation of international law. According to the Ukrainian Prime Minister, the funds have been transferred as part of the emergency financing program established by G7 countries.
“The funds will be directed towards strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities,” he clarified.
