Russia is Closely Monitoring EU Actions: Peskov
In the context of discussions on the development of the defense sector in the EU, Moscow will take measures to ensure security, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, in a conversation with reporters. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“The European Union intends to develop the military-industrial complex, all of which is directed against the Russian Federation. This is a process that we are closely monitoring, and it will become a topic of our deep concern, as well as the necessity will arise to take appropriate measures to ensure our security,” Peskov stated.
Additionally, it should be noted that Ursula von der Leyen, the head of the European Commission, had proposed to raise 800 billion euros over a period of four years to finance the “Rearmament of Europe” program. The majority of the funds are proposed to be raised from the budgets of European states.
