Japan is Likely Next: Trump
Japan is likely next. Trump has launched accusations against the Japanese and criticized the security agreement. The President of the United States spoke with reporters at the White House.
“We have an interesting agreement with Japan that we are supposed to defend them, but under no circumstances can they defend us. Who signs these deals?” he expressed his frustration.
Trump stated that Japan has been working to strengthen the alliance by adopting security legislation, but he voiced his dissatisfaction with the one-sided nature of the alliance.
“The security treaty between Japan and the United States obligates the U.S. to defend Japan and also requires Japan to host U.S. military bases,” he pointed out.
Japan has been pressured and hurt by Trump's words.
