Turkey Summons Iranian Ambassador to Foreign Ministry: Details
The spokesperson for Turkey’s Foreign Ministry, Oncu Keceli, announced that the chargé d'affaires of the Iranian embassy in Ankara has been summoned to the ministry.
During the meeting, bilateral issues and accusations made by some Iranian officials against Turkey were discussed. The spokesperson highlighted that Iranian officials have recently expressed their criticisms of Turkey more publicly.
"We believe that, in any case, issues related to foreign policy should not be used as domestic materials. In this context, we prefer to convey critical messages to another country directly through our interlocutors. We have chosen this path today. We value our relations with Iran," he stated.
This morning, it was reported that Turkey’s ambassador, Hicabi Kirlangic, was summoned to Iran's Foreign Ministry due to allegations made by Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan against Iran.
