The Situation in Ukraine is a Lesson: Ali Khamenei
“The support of Western countries for puppet states is an illusion,” wrote Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Ukrainian on the X social media platform. In his post, Khamenei recalled his statement made in early March 2022. Following the onset of military operations by Russia in Ukraine, Khamenei had declared that Washington was to blame for the situation in Kyiv. At that time, the Iranian leader pointed out that the U.S. had interfered in Ukraine's internal affairs and organized 'color revolutions'. In his new post, Khamenei reiterated his words and quoted his earlier statement from 2022.
“The first lesson from the situation in Ukraine is that the support of Western powers for countries and governments that are their puppets is an illusion. All governments need to understand this. Those that place hope in the U.S. and Europe should look at the current state of Ukraine,” wrote the Supreme Leader of Iran.
