US Expects Upcoming Meetings with Putin and Zelensky Soon, Says White House
The United States hopes that President Trump will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky very soon. This was announced by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre during an interview on Fox News.
"The White House expects that these meetings will take place very soon, particularly with Zelensky," she stated.
According to Jean-Pierre, Trump aims to sign an agreement with Zelensky regarding the exploitation of natural resources, in order to return the funds spent by American taxpayers for assistance to Kyiv.
Earlier, Trump had mentioned to reporters in the Oval Office that he would like to meet with Putin.
