Ukraine Offers Terms to the US on Mining Agreement
Ukraine has presented its terms for a mining agreement to the United States, causing a delay in the meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US Vice President Kamala Harris at the Munich Security Conference. The American side has requested additional time to review the proposed draft.
According to sources familiar with the negotiations, the draft submitted by Ukraine was carefully prepared and reflected the country's national interests. Kyiv insists that the proposed terms are in accordance with Ukraine's Constitution.
It is worth noting that Volodymyr Zelensky has refused to sign an agreement that would grant the United States the right to utilize 50% of Ukraine’s mineral resources.
