We Must Take Measures. Avinyan
The Yerevan Municipality will now present on digital platforms which streets are scheduled for asphalt paving work and within what timelines.
Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan noted that colleagues and business operators should be informed about the planned works. “Both Zakyan and Amiryan streets have undergone medium repairs, and it is unacceptable to have any further interference there, especially without permission, especially at night, especially stealthily; we must take appropriate measures there,” Avinyan emphasized.
Deputy Mayor Levon Hovhannisyan had previously informed that the asphalt had been damaged at the Amiryan-Zakyan streets intersection, and work had been carried out, after which poor quality asphalt paving was done. Hovhannisyan also pointed out that a similar incident was recorded on Komitas Avenue, where poor quality asphalt paving was done after work related to connecting gas pipes. The same issue arose on Paronyan Street, where Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) carried out work, and then after remarks from the municipality, it was repaved in accordance with standards.
