Germany May Declare State of Emergency, Says Scholz
Germany may declare a state of emergency to continue financing military support for Ukraine. This was announced by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz while speaking at the Munich Security Conference on February 15.
He expressed the opinion that a state of emergency might be necessary to ease the debt ceiling. “War in the center of Europe, this is an extraordinary situation,” emphasized Scholz. He stated that he is confident that after the elections, the majority in the Bundestag will support this idea.
